She was born Lillie Maureen Steward on November 28, 1933, in San Angelo to George Truett Steward and Allie Estaleen Ferguson Steward.  Maureen grew up in Rockwood and Mozelle where she graduated from Mozelle High School.  She married Richard Alvin Davidson on June 9, 1952.  With this union four children were born, Pam, David, Daniel, and Dennis, .  Richard preceded her in death in 1988.  Maureen then married H.M. Maureen was a person that you loved the minute you met her.  She had a personality that would light up a room and make everyone smile.  Her sewing skills were perfect, making many clothes for her children and altering prom and wedding dresses.  Maureen also enjoyed gardening, watching hummingbirds, and looking at lighthouses.  She was the author of the “Talpa Talk” edition of the Coleman Chronicle and Democrat for many years.  Maureen was also a practical joker, making April Fools’ day her favorite holiday.

Maureen had a strong Christian faith in which she shared with her family and community.  She was a volunteer for the Child Evangelism Fellowship for fifty years and was a devout member of the Voss Baptist Church.  Maureen loved her family and friends and cherished the time spent with them.

Maureen is also preceded in death by her parents, George and Estaleen Steward; one son, David Alan Davidson; two brothers, Bill and Don Steward; and one sister, Maudie Etta Stephenson.

She is survived by her children, Pam Gasper and husband Steve of Rio Frio, Dan Davidson and wife Cathy of Snyder, and Dennis Davidson and wife Margaret of League City; seven grandchildren, Krista Gasper of Occidental, California, Jamie Baird and husband Mark of San Angelo, Jessica Rainville and husband Dan of North Berwick, Maine, Nancy Burleson of Snyder, Michael Davidson and wife Elenita of Manvel, Brent Davidson of Washington D.C., and Daniel Davidson, Jr. of Eugene, Oregon; five great-grandchildren, Brody Burleson, Megan Baird, Grant Baird, Henry Davidson, and Remy Davidson; one brother T.L. Steward of Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving is H.M.’s family, Glenda Zepeda and husband Val, Harlan Duncan, Rhonda Harrell and husband Donald, and Vivian McCall and husband Jeff.
