Ronald L. “Ron” Hollingsworth, 70, of Lake Coleman, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at his residence. Funeral service with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Mr. Bob Martin, minister of Elm Street Church Of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
He was born Ronald Lynn Hollingsworth on September 26, 1947 in Anson to M.W. Hollingsworth and Delma Jo Smith Hollingsworth Spencer. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1967. Following high school, Ron served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years during the Vietnam War.
After being discharged from the Marines, Ron went to work for Haliburton in Corpus Christi. He moved back to Coleman in 1997. Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed being around family and looked forward to going to family reunions. He was a member of Elm Street Church of Christ.
Ron is survived by his three children, Christopher Lynn Hollingsworth of Midland, Michael Lane Hollingsworth of Boerne, Monica Lee Chapman of Corpus Christi; one brother, Glen Hollingsworth and wife, Doris, of Coleman; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of Vancouver, Washington, Becky Wiginton of Coleman and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hollingsworth of Corpus Christi. Also surviving are six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Lucky the Cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Hollingsworth.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
