Joe Webb, age 90, of Coleman, passed away on Tuesday December 11, 2018.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 500 W. Liveoak Street, in Coleman. Richard Hetzel will officiate the service. Private burial will take place at the White Chapel Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
He was born Thomas Joseph Webb on October 25, 1928 to Leary Webb and Beulah Berry Webb in Galveston, Texas. Joe grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School. Joe married Carolyn Everett on March 22, 1952 in Valentine, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in architectural engineering from The University of Texas in 1959. Joe worked for 28 years for the Texas Highway Department. He loved wood working, water skiing, and doing anything with his hands. Joe loved to be at his “piddling shop” working on many projects. Joe was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Downtown Men’s Sunday School Class. He proudly served in the United States Army.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carolyn Webb of Coleman; three sons, Thomas Joseph Webb, Jr. of Spicewood, Gene Barnett Webb and wife Michelle of Cedar Park, and Richard Hayden Webb of Puerto Escondido, Mexico; one brother, Gene Webb of Coleman; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
