Dumas Beeler, 98, of Coleman, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kermit Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkett Cemtery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Dumas Beeler was born October 16, 1911 in Echo, Coleman County, Texas, the son of David A. Beeler and Mary Elucinda Johnson. He grew up and attended school in Echo. He lived his whole in Coleman County, and was a farmer.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Rae Waddell of San Antonio, Mrs. Eddie (Louise) Whitaker of Abilene, Wayne Altom of Mesquite, Doris Beeler Williams of Coleman and several great nieces and great nephews including Helen Fisher of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Ethel Stanphill, Cleo Gould, Mossie Shelton, Hallie Altom, Mattie Cason, Jewell Beeler, Benton Beeler, Shubert Beeler and Tip Beeler.

Family visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till service time on Wednesday.
