Pearl Stoup Kile, 90, of Coleman, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reid Johnson, great-grandson-in-law of Mrs. Kile, officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Pearl Stoup was born June 16, 1919 in Pilot Point, Texas, a daughter of Edwin and Nova Lou Scoggins Stroup. She grew up in Coleman County and attended school in Coleman. She was married to Wayne Kile. She worked at Jinright Sewing Factory, Lane Egg Farm and as a Nurses' Aide. She was Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Edwin Kile and wife Sandra of Navasota; two daughters, Patsy Williams of Roscoe, Janice Merrill and husband Johnny of Coleman; two brothers, Alvie Stoup and William Stoup both of Coleman; three sisters, Dorothy Chastain of Decauter, Margaret Wilson of Clyde, Peggy Jacobi of Ft. Worth; seven grandchildren and spouses, Jerry and Mary Williams of Roscoe, Sheila Chase of Arkansas, Tracy and Larry Collins of Hamlin, Robbie and Sandy Kile of Saginaw, Clifton and Doris Williams of Cisco, Tina and Clay Hill of Shreveport, LA, John and Sherri Merrill of Coleman; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren; 18 step-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Curtis Kile and a sister-in-law, Lois Kile.
She was preceded in death by a son, Preston Kile in 1967; sisters and brothers, Ruby Watters, Carl Stoup, Bessie Adian, Hugh Stoup, Fred Stoup, Earl Stoup.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the donor's favorite charity.
Family visitation will be held Sunday (today) from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
